Problem with Perfection
Stuborn in vision & flexible in details.
Perfect is an illusion.
When we think we've come up with the perfect plan, we haven't. It's ideal in our imagination, and what makes it perfect is its imperfection.
Our natural inability to realize much less consider all possibilities leaves us blindsided by the good or bad that can happen and make the implementation relatively much better or worst respectively.
It's not that perfection is not good; it's just that we expect to be exciting & extraordinary, which it isn't. Perfect is basic, standard, regular, normie stuff.
On the scale of Disaster to Extraordinary, Perfect lies at 0.
Ironically, even the general usage of the word perfect is imperfect.
People get excited when things go just as planned, but here, the plan is itself a function of hope and a product of urgency.
Plans made in a desperate situation are likely to fail. So, failure is not a surprise as these plans run on the bare minimum of time & resources. Therefore, success is exhilarating.
Eg: A sudden outing with friends.
Plans made in leisure are different. These plans are well-thought-out and are less likely to fall apart because there is enough time & resources available to invest.
In this case, success is relieving, and failure can be catastrophic & devastating.
Eg: Just about any event that went wrong, lol.
So, whenever we do something, we need to:
Set our expectations right,
Accept that there are a million things that might go wrong,
Think of all the things that can make it extraordinary and make it happen,
Play the devil's advocate and think of all the things that can go wrong, and
Come up with ways to tackle these challenges if and when they happen.
This way, we can focus more on functionality than on perfection, avoid unpleasant surprises and get things done in a smooth & organized fashion.

It was amazing and well written as always. Explained it in a very easy to understand way 🙌🏻👏🏻
