Neat
Keep it real
I had another topic in mind for this week but the blog is incomplete and I didn't want to put it out half baked.
About 7 months after I started blogging, OpenAI launched its amazing language module, ChatGPT. After which a fleet of AI tools spawned into existence and we're launched one after another. People started using these tools to help with a crazy number of tasks in crazier ways.
One of the most popular ways AI is being used is for blogging but I never have and never will use an AI to help me with transcribing myself. There are 2 main reasons for this.
Firstly, I respect my subscribers more than to make them read something that I've put just 10% effort writing. Even if I've had a busy day like today or for any reason I'm late, I would never take it easy and mail you guys something I haven't typed every single alphabet of.
Secondly, it's lame. OpenAI uses a limited portion of past data to respond to the prompts. It's data. It is especially irrelevant in my case because an AI module will never know what I go through and even if I tell it it could never possibly understand how I interpret it given everything I've been through as a person. It simply can not speak for me—or anyone for that matter.
Last month we were hosting a guest who has published a couple of books and when we found out that I've been publishing blogs for about 80 weeks he asked me, "That is enough time to write a book, why don't you write a book?" I was like, "I was never trying to write a book, I just started writing and didn't stop." Till this point I was feeling kinda good because he liked my work and wanted me to take it a step further but, then he asked me to use GPT and other tools to write blogs for me, use tools and put things together in a book. After listening to that, I was so disappointed my brain didn't ever register what he said next.
He tried to sell me all these trps and tricks but, I just told him my blogs are neat and I'd like to keep it that way.
I appreciate you joining my email list and reading these blogs more than anything.
You'll try to do stuff and eventually come across destructive distractions and intentionally or unintentionally damaging people on the way. Make sure you stay true to your pre-set principles and values. Upgrade your Vision & Mission, Tick off milestones, update your strategy and iterate your methods but, never compromise your fundamentally right core values. It will pay off.
